Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Flomzu Delivery, an editorial blog at flomzu.delivery, handles personal data collected through this website. It covers what we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and how you can ask us to change or delete it.

What the policy covers

Information we collect

Two kinds of data arrive here: what you type into a form and what the site records on its own.

We collect information you provide directly, such as your name and email address when you use the contact form or write to info@flomzu.delivery. That covers messages about a Shake Shack menu drop, a correction to an article, a note about a seasonal item, or a question about a delivery ordering habit we wrote about.

We also collect limited technical data automatically, including the pages you visit on this site and basic device and browser information. This is aggregate reading behaviour: which guides are opened, roughly how long a page stays on screen, and whether a visit came from a search result or a direct link. It does not identify you by name, and we do not attempt to combine it with the contact details you send us.

You give it

Your name and email address, plus whatever you write in the message field.

The site records it

Page views, referring link, and basic browser and device details.

Why we use it

Purpose first, and nothing beyond it. There is no automated decision-making anywhere in this list.

  1. 1

    Replying to your message

Your email address is what we answer. If you ask whether a limited drop is still running or whether a seasonal item is worth ordering, that reply needs a working address and nothing else.

  2. 2

    Verifying corrections

When a reader tells us an item description is wrong or a menu note has changed, we check it before editing. Keeping that exchange on file lets us confirm what was corrected and when.

  3. 3

    Recording editorial changes

A short record of who reported a change and what they said helps us avoid re-publishing a claim we already corrected. That record is the message thread itself.

  4. 4

    Deciding what to update

Page-view counts show which menu guides people actually read and which sit untouched. A guide nobody opens is a candidate for a rewrite or for retirement.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making, profiling, or advertising that follows you between sites.

Cookies and similar technologies

This site uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the page working and to count visits. Their use is described separately in the Cookie Policy, which forms part of this document. If you want the detail, read the cookie policy before continuing with this one.

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking them may stop some parts of the site from remembering your last selection, but every article stays readable.

Cookie policy in short

Essential cookies keep the page functioning. Analytics cookies tell us what readers open. Neither one is used to build a profile of you.

Full definitions, categories, and retention periods sit in the cookie policy.

Sharing, and who else sees it

We do not sell personal data. That is the whole rule, and the rest of this section is the exception list.

Hosting

The provider that runs this website stores server logs and keeps the pages online. It sees traffic data, not your message.

Email

The mail service that delivers a note to info@flomzu.delivery and carries our reply back to you. Its access is limited to moving messages.

Legal duty

If a lawful request requires a record we hold, we disclose what the request actually covers and nothing wider.

Every provider works under an agreement that limits their use of the data to running the service. None of them may repurpose it for their own marketing.

Retention

Nothing is kept forever by default. Each kind of data has its own stopping point.

Contact messages

Kept for as long as needed to handle the request and to maintain a record of corrections. A correction thread can stay on file so we can show what changed and when. If you ask us to delete a message and no open request depends on it, we remove it.

Technical data

Retained for a shorter period, typically tied to the analytics retention setting in use. Page-view counts age out on that schedule and are not stored past it. Older visits stop appearing in reports before they stop existing in the raw log, which is normal for any hosted site.

Where a message is still tied to an unresolved correction, deleting it early would erase the evidence trail for that article. In that one case we hold the thread until the correction is closed, then remove it on request.

What you can ask for

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To make a request, write to info@flomzu.delivery. We may need to verify your identity before acting on it.

  • Access

Ask what we hold that relates to you, and we describe it in plain terms.

  • Correction

Point out anything inaccurate in a record tied to you and we fix it.

  • Deletion

Ask us to remove a message, subject to the retention note above.

  • Objection

Say no to a particular use, and we stop it unless a legal duty requires otherwise.

Requests go out during business hours, Monday through Friday. If a request is unclear or covers data belonging to someone else, we explain why before refusing.

Children

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Our writing targets adults ordering food and comparing menu items, so nothing here is designed to attract younger readers, and we take a message from a parent or guardian seriously whenever it arrives.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices change. The current version is always published on this page, so the wording you are reading now is the one in force. If a change affects how a correction request is handled, we note it in the article it relates to rather than leaving it buried here.

This page is part of a set of documents that also includes the Cookie Policy and the Terms of Service. Where the three overlap, the more specific document governs the point in question.
